hello everyone! today i am going to be talking about all the books i want to read in August. and i’m doing multiple read a thons this month, so i’m just going to add everything into this one post. and honestly i’m so excited for all of these books. i’m also going to try to read a bunch of arcs, so hopefully i can get a couple in.
DISNEY A THON-
the little mermaid-
ARIEL- read a book featuring a singer as the main character.
i’ll be the one by Lyla Lee. i’m honestly so excited for this book. i mean, it has plus size rep, and telling you that you don’t need to be skinny to be singer, that just sounds so amazing. and hopefully it will be accurate, and it wouldn’t be that toxic, like a most books with fat main characters are.
FLOUNDER- read a book with a great friendship
waiting for tom hank by Kerry Winfrey. i’ve actually already started this book, and Chloe and Annie are so cute together. and i mean that they are always so much of a great friendship, and they honestly have such a cute friendship, and it wasn’t even that jealous kind since Annie wants a boyfriend.
PRINCE ERIC- read a book by your favorite author
Disney lands by Ridley Pearson. i’ve added this book for another prompt, but i hope i can actually read it for this month, since i wanted to read it last month, and we all see how that worked. but, i honestly think that this will be kinda cute, since this is a book about disney.
URSULA- read a book which the main character changes their appearance a lot.
part of your nightmare by Vera Strange. i’m not even if this book is about changing your appearance, but this book is all about Ursula fits. so i mean it literally is the perfect book. and i can’t wait to read this. but, anyway i kind of assume the main girl will change her appearance somewhat.
SEBASTIAN- read the group book
a song below water by Bethany C. Marrow. i’ve already started this book, and i’m at like 50%. and honestly this whole book sounds so amazing. and i think that this book is honestly so amazing. and i cannot wait to get more into this book.
princess and the frog –
TIANA- read a book with a hard working main character.
girls with sharp sticks by Suzanne Young. this would be a reread of this book, and i’m honestly so excited to read this. i mean, i love this book so much, and it honestly has so much girl power, which totally fits Tiana, and i guess princess and the frog in general.
PRINCE NAVEEN- read a book with royalty
a court of thrones and roses by Sarah J Mass. i honestly am kinda scared to read this book. i mean, everyone reads this book, and honestly everyone loves this and talks about it. and i did get an ARC of this on netgalley, so that’s kinda cool i guess.
DOCTOR FACILIAR- read a book where magic is used
Disney Lands by Ridley Pearson. i’m not actually sure if this would qualify as a book where magic is used. but, the rest of the books have magic, so i’m assuming that it has some kind of magic. and i mean it is a Disney book, so it probably magical.
RAY- read the group book
beach read by Emily Henry. i’m honestly so excited for this book. it honestly sounds like just the perfect summer romantic comedy book. and i cannot wait to read these, and it also has two writers, which just sound so amazing. and i cannot wait to read this book and hopefully it will live up to the hype.
NETGALLY A THON
OLDEST ARC-
the safe place by Anna Downes. honestly, i have no clue why i requested this book, but i do think that the book sounds really cool and interesting. but, i have heard this book is very predictable, but i still hope that it is pretty good. but, i never heard of anyone talking about this book, like on Youtube.
NEWEST ARC-
under you skin by Rose McClelland. i honestly have no clue what this book is about, but i think the cover is really pretty. but, i do think this is an adult mystery/thriller, which is something i love so much, if you couldn’t tell.
ARC I REGRET REQUESTING-
the extaorinaries by TJ Klune. i feel really mean with saying this, but i don’t remember requesting this. and i also don’t really know what it’s about, and it’s all about superhero’s and whatnot.
ARC I’M MOST EXCITED FOR-
Cinderella is dead by Kalynn Bayron. look, i know this book is out already, but i completely forgot when i was in my reading slump. so, i’m hopefully going to read this for now, and hopefully will love this book.
anyway, that’s it for today. i really want to read more arcs this month, since i got a lot and i just need to read all of them. but, i still hope to read some books on my libby and then some that i own and whatnot.
