a good girls guide to murder review

hello everyone! today i am going to be talking about a good girls guide to murder by Holly Jackson. i gave this book 5/5 stars. i honestly loved this book so much, and i completely feel in love with the characters and the whole plot line.

in the start of the book, like the first chapter, Jackson just said to many names and thoughts about who killed Andie Bell. and it was pretty confusing since all the names where like word vomit. but, as the story when on, it started to make sense to some degree.

i do think the whole detective stuff was pretty cool, even though Pip was only 17ish. i thought it was so cool to see the she could figure out this whole crime and find friends and everything. it was honestly just so cool. and Pip was so amazing with figuring everything out.

but, i honestly don’t understand why the cops didn’t see through everything and see what Pip saw. like it was so obvious that Sal wasn’t guilty. but, it was honestly so insane, and i think that the cops where so stupid that the detectives didn’t know who actually did it and nobody else caught on.

Ravi and Pip was so amazing together. they just where so cute together and honestly wanted to do everything and anything to find the real killer. they just worked so well together. but, i do not know how Pip’s parents didn’t think that their 17 year old daughter is locked in her room with like a 24ish man. but, i guess they never did anything besides solve a murder.

i’m always pretty skeptical when i go into YA murder mystery or thriller. since some of them are never really good, or they have to many different plot twists and are never good. but, i feel like this one was so great and it didn’t have to many stupid twists that we can see from ten miles away. i definitely knew her shit before she was writing this.

i really liked how it was mixed media, that it wasn’t just Pip telling Ravi or whoever else, that it was reports and emails and whatever else. it was personally really cool. it really helped tell a story, and showed everything up close.

i do think it the plot was spot on. it never got to far away and always stayed on point for the plot and never got off topic about friends and whatever. i feel like everything that happened was related to the overview of the story. so everything that happened was so amazing and just made sense.

trigger warnings- rape, suicide, kidnap, dog death, drug use (dealing,) getting drugged (it got put in the drink.)

Ravi- he was such an amazing friend and brother. he was so passionate about finding the real killer. i do wish he had more of a personality. but, i do think he has great intentions and wish he had to do more to do then just to sit on the slide lines. like he was the brother, i wish he was more like Pip.

Pip- i feel like she didn’t have that much of a personality. i feel like everything that happened was just her whole personality. and everything that she did was talk about the case and thought everything that would happen would lead to the case.

anyway, that’s it for today. i really loved this book and i thought it was so cute how the book ended. but, i do think this book is good for fans of one of us is lying. i do wish we saw more things in their everyday life.

paper towns review

hello everyone! today i am going to be talking about paper towns by John Green. i gave this book 4/5 stars. i really liked this book, surprisingly. it was pretty good and i really liked the this story. you can find the link here.

my favorite part of this book was the whole nighttime adventure. it was just so cool, and that it was such an adventures night. all they did was have a fun time before the whole disappearance. it was just so cool that they got this moment together since they stopped talking all those years ago. it just added to the story and honestly made it more realistic in my mind.

i do think Margo’s parents are honestly insane. all they did was make everything worst in my mind. all they did was complain and they where pretty toxic to her. but, it was kinda crazy that all they do is talk really bad about her, but it just made Margo worst and made her crazy.

i’m pretty sure that Ben said this, and i thought it was so crazy that he was so stuck up on girls. all he did was look at girls and look at them as objects. plus, he also called them hunnybunny, and we all know how i feel about pet names. it was just so stupid that he thought of the girls as objects, and it just pissed me off. i thought it was so toxic.

but, i do really like how we got all the talk about Disney since they live in Orlando. there was all these talks about the parks and then some of the characters. but, i thought it was so cool that they talked about Margo sleeping and spending the night is disney world, when nobody knew.

the clues where so cool honestly. it was so fun that they needed to discover everything. it just made it cooler, since it wasn’t just presented to you in the start, you needed to work for it and everything. but, i wish that there wasn’t all this useless information between they find out the clues cause it was just so boring to me.

to me, i feel like this book was written like they where teenagers. they have real emotions like teenagers do, and also overall, just act like them. where they play video games and drink at parties and want a car. i feel like he didn’t age them up, which most authors do, and make them not feel like teenagers.

Margo- honestly, she was one of the best John Green characters wrote. i feel like she had her own interest and Green really spent time making her complex. and to me i could see it.

Q- honestly, i hated him so much. i feel like he wasn’t really fleshed out and very one dimensional and doesn’t feel real whatsoever to me. i feel like Green spent so much time making all these other ideas and character so great, he completely forgot about the main character. in my mind, this should have been in third person if Q wasn’t going to be that amazing of a character.

anyway, that’s it for today. i feel like this was a very short post. and i honestly had not a lotto talk about since all my notes for this book honestly just disappeared, which sucks so much.

it ends with us review

hello everyone! today i’m going to be talking about it ends with us by Colleen Hoover. i gave this book 5/5 stars. i really liked this book so much. it was such an hard hitting book and i thought it was so cute to some degree.

Lily went through some real shit in this book. and i really feel so bad for her. and it was so bad with her whole childhood and then everything that happened with Atlas. it was just so crappy, and then everything that happened when she was an adult really just made me feel for her.

it was also so cool how Lily owned a business and just didn’t just work in an office, have a job they hated, or didn’t simply have a job. i think it was so cool to see that she was self made and had a job that she loved so freaking much and was so proud of. i just think it was so cute and i honestly wished we got more jobs that where like this in romance.

i do think it was so cool that we got to see Lily’s childhood and her teenage years. it was so cool to see her first romance and to see everything that shaped her to be girl she was today. but, i do think it was pretty cool to see what made her hate her father so much, even though it was a very bad part of her life and never got over it.

but, i do think this is an realistic book that to many woman go through. and i didn’t think that Hoover made it realistic enough that it didn’t feel toxic and it 100% written so well and honest, even if she didn’t go through everything that happened.

personally, i think that more book need to have topic like this talked about, and not just the whole perfect romance. i really liked reading this book and reading something that’s more hard hitting and that needs to be talked about in books.

on a more positive note, i loved Alyssa and Michael so much. they where just the perfect side characters and where just the perfect best friend and her husband. they where just so funny and entertaining. even though they didn’t know everything that was happening, but i still think they added so much more to the story.

spoiler but not really i guess- i thought it was pretty amazing that Atlas and Lily’s relationship grow together and their romance wasn’t super fast. i think it was so cool that they didn’t have sex really quickly like in most romance books. and that they are teenagers and it was pretty cool since they got back together to some degree. and honestly even if this was so slow, i just felt so bad for Atlas and what happened with the dad and how he beat the hell out of Atlas, it was honestly was so sad and broke my heart.

this part is going to be kinda spoilery along with the next paragraph. i felt so bad for Lily and everything that happened to Lily with Ryle. i think it was so crappy that she got pregnant, and even if its with the man that she loved, but it was still with rape. and i hated what he did since it was such an over reaction. it was just so crappy and i really wish it actually worked out for her.

this paragraph will also be a spoiler. i loved Lily and Atlas together so much. they where so cute when they where younger, but also as adults, even though we didn’t get to see to much of them together. i really wish we got more of them together as adults cause i love them together so much. i really felt so bad for what happened when they where kids honestly.

Lily- she was such a fun character. she was just so fully of love and will do anything to do anything for everyone. and i completely love how much she went for his goals. she literally would do anything to help anyone and would do anything to reach her dreams.

Ryle- he was so freaking creepy. i thought it was so weird that he just put a photo of Lily’s stomach on his sisters wall. he was just so possessive of Lily and would literally do anything to hurt her in some way. i just hated him so much, but he did start off as a good guy, then just turned bad.

anyway, that’s it for today. this was a pretty long review, and the paragraphs where pretty long. i loved this book so much. and i think that Hoover is such an amazing author, even though she apparently writes more love stories, but i’m so excited to read all of those.

the honey don’t list review

hello everyone! today i’m going to be talking about the honey don’t list by Christina Lauren. i gave this book 4/5 stars. i enjoyed this book a lot. i really think the plot was super cool, and the character were okay though.

i thought this would be a lot like HGTV, and very much like what we actually see on tv, but it’s more of a road trip kinda book. but, i still think it was kinda cool, but i do wish we saw more of them actually working and seeing them at what they do.

i thought it was pretty cool how we got the mixed media with the police reports and the tweets and whatever else was in there. it was pretty cool, but i do wish there was more in the book. there was some parts of their books, and i do wish we got more tweets, then there was in there, since i do prefer the tweets that where in the book.

in the start of the book, i do really like how Rusty and Melissa were together, like before and after the cheating. i think it was cool to see how they still interact like a couple even though all they did was fight. i thought it was cool to see why they where so happy, but then how they argued at the end of everything.

but, Melissa was so mean to everyone. she just yelled at every person in the world. and like i understand why she thought she controlled everything, but she thought she was the queen bee and she completely made all the designs, when she didn’t do to much, since it was all Carey.

i do think that the whole romance was different then all of their other romance. in most of the books they start dating in the start, but this read like it was just all hook ups and then they broke up and then i think they got back together, but they never really said. but, i still think it was a really good romance.

i didn’t really care for the ending and what was happening with the police. i think we got this massive build up to detectives and what was happening. but then it was something so stupid. i personally didn’t care for it. and that it wasn’t a turning point. to me i didn’t even know why the police was there since nobody died. but who knows honestly.

James- he was kind of a snobby guy and all that he did was complain over and over again. i do think he has a job, so i have no clue why he acted like it was hell. even though he’s get paid a decent amount. and even though it’s not architecture or whatever the hell he wanted to do. but i do think he needs to stick up for himself and tell him what he actually thinks.

Carey- i honestly think she needs to stick up for herself honestly. i think she needs to realize that she is worth more then just an assistant for the rest of her life. i do think she could probably create her own design business since she carries the whole company. and she just needs to leave even though she’s been working for them since she was 17.

anyway, that’t it for today. i really liked this book, and this blog post is really choppy and it honestly didn’t make to much sense she i don’t have to many really massive thoughts.

mid year freak out tag

hello everyone! today i am going to be doing the mid year freak out tag. i’m not sure who created this tag, since this has gone around for years, and i thought lets just do this, even if i have no clue if people are still doing it this year.

What is the best book that you’ve read so far in 2020?

this is so hard. i think i’m going to go with a good girls guide to murder by Holly Jackson. i honestly have no clue if i want to say this is the best book i read so far this year. but i do think this is probably one of my favorite books so far this year. it was just so amazing and i fell in love with this story and the characters.

What has been your favorite sequel of the first half of the year?

i am literally the worst person with reading sequels in the world. this might be cheating since i started this series last year and it’s older. but, i’m going to go with power play by Ridley Pearson. i loved this book so much and i thought it was such an amazing book. but, i do hope i read more sequels in the later months of 2020.

Is there a new release that you haven’t read yet but you’re really excited for?

i’m going to cheat and say two because i’m so excited for these. but i’m going to go with good girl, bad blood by Holly Jackson and girl with razor hearts by Suzanne Young. i plan to read both of these in July, but i have no clue. i loved the first book in these series, and i wish i love the second book in the series.

What is your most anticipated release for the second half of the year?

i have a list. honestly there are three books that are coming out, and i’m just so excited for these books. Midnight Sun by Stephanie Meyer, Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalo, and how the king of Elfhame learned to hate stories by Holly Black. i’m so excited for these books. i hope to read all of these before the end of the year, but i’m terrible with sequels, so who knows, but i think these are going to be so great.

What is your biggest disappointment so far?

this is a hard question, because i read a some books that i know i’m going to hate/ not enjoy just because of the movie or just because everyone and their mother talks about it. and aside from rereads and dnfs and what i already talked about, i’m going to go with one of us is next by Karen M. McManus. i loved the first book in this series so freaking much. but, then when this book came around, i was so sad because it was very close to the first book and it was pretty boring.

What is your biggest surprise so far?

for me, i’m going to go with legendary by Stephanie Garber. i’m not sure if this means a good surprise, but i’m going to go with a bad surprise. i loved the first book, but the next two weren’t that great. i honestly hated legendary and then the other book.

Who is your favorite new to you, or debut, author?

i’m going to go with Holly Jackson. i honestly love a good girls guide to murder, and the writing style was was everything i wanted and more. and i honestly think that she is going to be an author that i’m going to read a ton of.

Who is your favorite fictional crush from this year?

i’m going to go with Patch from hush hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. i feel like all the book boyfriends i read where rereads, along with this one. but, hot damn, i loved him so much.

Who is your new favorite character?

this is such an hard question. i think i’m going to go with Thea from the bromance book club. she went through some real crap in this book. and wanting a divorce, but then having to raise twin daughters by herself. and i though she was just so amazing.

A book that made you cry?

i don’t cry when i read books at all. so i honestly have no clue what to saw with this book. so i’m just going to skip it i guess.

A book that made you happy?

the kiss quotient by Helen Hoang. this book made me so freaking happy in the end and their little romance. this honestly was just so amazing and i just loved them together so much.

Your favorite book to movie/ TV show that you’ve seen so far?

i’m so bad at watching book to move/tv show. i’ve watched a good solid two, and one was for school and we never finished (because of the whole pandemic) and the other one i already saw. so i’ll go with the one i already saw. so, i’m going to go with twilight. this is completely my guilty pleasure and i’ve seen it like three times so far.

What is your favorite post that you’ve written so far this year?

damn, this is so hard. i’ll probably have to go with the review of the bromance book club. i also really liked do these books deserve movies? i thought that was such a fun post, and i honestly want to write more like them.

What is the most beautiful book that you have bought?

i don’t know if this is supposed to mean with the content or the cover. but i really like the owlcrate edition of bone criers moon by Kathryn Purdie. i also love the reprint of the kingdom keepers by RidleyPearson.

What are 6 books that you want to read by the end of the year?

i’m not going to include arcs, cause those are a must. but, i’m going to go with girl with razor hearts by Suzanne Young, good girl, bad blood by Holly Jackson, crave by Tracy Wolff, the happy ever after playlist by Abby Jimenez, the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid, and party of two by Jasmine Guillory.

anyway, that’s it for the today. i had a lot of fun writing this and figuring out which books i read and loved. but, i did do a lot of the ‘new’ books, aka the ones i read sooner, not all the way back in January cause i completely forgot most of my opinions.

not the girl you marry review

hello everyone! today i am going to be talking about not the girl you marry by Andie J Christopher. i gave this book 4/5 stars. i actually dnfed this book in around January, but then i picked it up again and i liked it so much, so i’m so happy that i did.

one of my favorites parts of this book is that it takes places in Chicago. i found this part so amazing because most romance novels take place in Boston, New York, or California that i have read. i just thought it was really cool, even though they where never in the streets of Chicago, only working.

i really liked that they were like fake dating, but not really dating it’s more like both of the main characters using each other. i really liked how we got both of them wanting this grader goal and getting higher up in the companies.

this whole book has late 90s and early 20s vibe. i thought this was so cool. i really liked that whole fact. since those are some of the best movies, that it just added so much to this story. i just loved this so much.

there was a couple uncomfortable moments where how Hannah always picked on Jack and his outfits and how late he was. since all they do is argue a lot about it. but the main moment was when they where just making out on the streets of Chicago and there was a taco truck watching and also their Uber driver. i just thought it was weird and uncomfortable.

i also loved Jack’s family so much. it was just so pure and i loved how they all acted together. like all the brothers did was fight. i also thought it was cute that they weren’t all sad that the mom was MIA and the dad did everything, which isn’t to common in books. i just thought it was cool.

going back to the first thing i talked about, i thought it was so stupid that Hannah got mad at Jack when he says he used her and then vice versa. but, i still thought it was funny because all they did was lie to each other. and they both got so mad, even though they both did it to each other.

the next part is a spoiler- but i loved the whole proposal part. i love the whole proposal in books so much, so when Jack proposed with a puppy, i loved it so much.

anyway, that’s it for today. i really liked this book so much. i honestly thought it was such a cute read. but, i do think it might not be the book for everyone.

are these books still my favorite? | i read 5

hello everyone! today i am going to be do another i read 5. if you don’t know about this, basically it is where i will read 5 books, which all pertain to a theme, and then i talk about my opinions on the books. if you couldn’t tell the theme from the title, this is where i read 5 of my favorite books. not that anyone cares, but i got this idea months ago when emmmabooks tweeted something along the lines of “what if my favorite books aren’t my favorite books and I’ve just convinced myself they are?” which let this idea be born.

basically, i picked five favorite books before i wrote this, and all the books were books i wanted to reread. my “rules” for this post was i had to be interested in reread, and also i haven’t read this book in 6 months to a year, or even more.

Hush hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. I gave this book 4.5/5 stars. If you don’t know what this book is about, basically it follows this teenage girl, Nora Grey, who is in the middle of her sophomore year of high school. (i’m not sure if that’s true, but from the age and that they where in health/ biology i just assumed that she was a sophomore.) And everything is pretty normal until this new guy comes into school and they get partnered in biology/ health as lab partners. in less words, it’s pretty much a sexier version of twilight and fallen.

For me, i love this book so much. I personally think this is a better and more ‘updated’ version of twilight, but it does have a lot of the same things that did happen in twilight. there was a lot of events that where the same, but some of them where still different enough that i didn’t really mind. for someone, that is really big on plot, and doesn’t like a lot of copying, it might bother you, but for me it wasn’t that bad.

i also loved how the characters interacted. there wasn’t a lot of trust from Vee and Nora, where Nora doesn’t trust the boys Vee is with, and Vee doesn’t trust Patch, who Nora is getting more involved in. but also that Nora doesn’t trust Patch for a good portion of this book. i personally thought it was pretty cool that Nora was always on edge and Vee is just trying to have a good time.

it as super cool how there was a murder mystery in this book. it is kind of one of the central plot points in this book, which i believe was kinda cool, since i love reading thriller and mysteries. and it did add some stuff to the story. and it also brought Patch and Nora together.

turtles all the way down by John Green. i gave this book 3/5 stars. if you don’t know what this book is about, this follows seventeen/eighteen year old girl, Aza, who goes on this journey to find some missing billionaire’s mission fortune. this book does have strong triggers for ocd, anxiety, and depression.

one of the biggest things in this book is the mental health and the topics that surround this mental health. which overall i thought was pretty amazing, but as i read the book, everything was about her and her anxiety and ocd. it kinda got annoying cause everything just got repeated. and we got nowhere.

it’s kind of a thing in Green’s book is there is somewhat of a romance between two characters. in this book it was different. yes, there was a romance, but i feel like it was really forced and Aza wasn’t to comfortable with everything happen. and i get that everyone is different, but to me i didn’t really care for it.

the friendship in this book is also a central theme. i feel like it was written really good. but, i do think that the best friend was kinda mean to Aza, and she never really understood what Aza was going through and didn’t care about her mental heath, only about the money and her star wars fan fiction.

love and gelato by Jenna Evans Welch. i gave this book 5/5 stars. if you don’t know what this book is about, it follows 17 year old Lina. when her world gets tipped upside down when her mother dies, but it gets worst when she gets shipped away to Italy to see her father.

this was honestly such an emotional read. we get to see Lina crying and trying to get over her mothers death, but then trying to find out who her father was. it honestly brought everything together.

since this was set in Italy, there was a ton of the culture in Italy. there was so much talk about what they eat, and the tourist things we get throughout the story. and since they do a lot of traveling, it really helped bring everything to the light and seeing how everything is happening.

the romance in this book was very slow burn. since it did happen later in the book, and we never really got the two characters actively together as a couple. which to me it was super cool and very slow burn. and since the two characters are with other people throughout most of the book.

Anna and the french kiss by Stephanie Perkins. i gave this book 4/5 stars. if you don’t know what this book is about, it follows Anna who gets put in this American boarding school in Paris, France.

this was such a cute summer read. i read this book when i was knee deep in final projects. and it honestly brought up my mood so much, since it is just about falling in love in Paris and meeting friends.

i also loved the whole slow burn romance. i mean, i guess you can call it slow burn, but it does take a long time to get St. Claire and Anna together. since he has a girlfriend and then she is worried about her friends feelings. which i just found so amazing and it shows that she cared about her a lot.

this book is a classic in the YA genre, and when i read this i could really tell why. it shows how powerful friendship is and how even if you move you will still make friends and fit in. and it also just has the timeless feeling that most YA novels don’t have sadly.

first love by Emily Raymond and James Patterson. i gave this book 2/5 stars. if you don’t know what this book is about, it follows 15/16 pair of best friends and them blowing off school and going on this epic road trip.

this was honestly such a stupid ass book. literally nothing made sense, and i have no clue how they didn’t rack up all those felony charges, since they stole many cars and beat up a cop. so i have no clue how they didn’t get caught before Axis turned herself in. but we’re talking about the same guy who writes about flying kids.

i also didn’t understand how they just got away with all the money they had. like in the start of the book i think they had roughly $900. and i honestly don’t understand how they payed for gas, got food, went to posh hotels a couple times, and then overall got all over the USA.

this was pretty much the fault in our stars with a road trip. and i love TFIOS, and this just wasn’t it. i think they just saw how well John Green did with his story, so they hoped that this would hit the same way.

that’s all the books i read for this. i guess i did okay with liking these books, and now i definitely figured out what books i like more and now what books i won’t like that much and won’t call the favorites moving forward.

anyway, that’s it for today. i had a great time reading these books, even if i didn’t like them to much. but, i still had fun rereading all these books. and i’ll probably do this again in the future. i’ll definitely do one for reading my favorites when i started bookstagram, cause i think that would be so much fun.

love her and loose her review

hello everyone! today i am going to be talking about love her and loose her by Tessa Bailey. i gave this book 3/5 stars. i’m honestly not quite sure why i decided to read this book, since i hated the first book so much. but, i was pretty stupid and decided to read this one, and then hated it.

overall, this was a pretty boring book. not to much happened, and what happened wasn’t to important for me. it was just a lot of people arguing, and also a whole lot of back and forth for Rosie and thinking “do i actually like him” or “damn i really want to buy a restaurant, but i don’t know if i should.” it honestly annoyed me since i feel like everything could have happened sooner, but it took forever.

Dominic was so rude to literally everyone. all he did was complain about going to work, and how he hated this and that person. it got so annoying that all he did was complain and its like if you hate everything so much, move away, or get a new job. yeah, i know that’s not that easy, but if you hate everything so much, i think you can figure it out.

I’m not sure if it was just me, but i hated the nicknames that the author writes in her books. the main one in this book where ‘honey bun’ and to me that was just so annoying. like i honestly think this was so gross and i hated it in the first book too, so i honestly don’t know what i was thinking.

now jumping to the end of the book, i thought it was kinda weird that they had sex every five minutes. i mean what you do in your house is your own thing, but they had sex in the kitchen of her restaurant and by the fridge and on the table tops. i honesty thought that was gross, cause image eating something that was coming off the table they had sex on, even if they cleaned it.

i feel like the author was trying to make Dominic different then Travis, but also be the same. i just hated it because it was trying so hard so they aren’t the same people, but they just come off as the same, since their personality is so much the same.

Rosie- she was a pretty basic character. but, i guess she had pretty good goals since she did get everything she wanted. but, she did get on my nerves a couple times, and i feel like she did put up with everything, when she just should have put her foot down.

Dominic- i honestly just wanted to punch him in the face. he was such a dick and honestly just wanted to have a house wife/ trophy wife. but, i do think he had some great intentions with buying her their dream house, but then putting it back on the market to buy her a restaurant, which is always wanted.

anyway, that’s it for today. i feel like this is a shorter review then i normally do, but i feel like i covered everything that i wanted to talk about, so i guess it works out that it is shorter.

the bromance book club review

hello everyone! today i am going to be talking about the bromance book club by Lyssa Kay Adams. i gave this book 5/5 stars. i honestly love this book so much. it was so cute and i loved how everything turned out and whatever.

i saw this book all over booktube and bookstagram, so i was kinda scared to go into this book, since i didn’t want to hate it, but i actually loved this book so much. it was such a cute book, and had so many cute moments.

i have only read i believe one romance books with a kid(s) in it. but the kid in that book was about 14 years old, and was the main characters sister, so it wasn’t that strange. where in here, the kid was about three years old. which i honestly liked it so much that we got this failing romance, but they had kids in the mix to keep them together. which i honestly loved so much.

i know with everything happening to them, and how Thea wants a divorce, i still loved them together in the start of the book. yes, Gavin didn’t want to get a divorce, and it still added angst to the story. since it has this whole will they, won’t they.

basically, throughout the book Gavin and the other guys in the book club are reading this romance book, and i personally thought that was cool, since they are destroying the toxic masculine since romance is more “feminine” in everyone’s eye. Adam’s also put some of the romance book they where reading in this book was so cool. since we got a romance story inside a romance story.

i honestly went into this book knowing that there will be somewhat of a sex scene, since this whole book was about Thea faking her orgasms for most of their relationship. but damn, this book was so steamy. we got so many sex scenes, and their was a lot of descriptions, so be prepared.

i never really thought i was into second chance romance, but damn this one was written so well. i thought it was so great that we got this whole past together that had led to kids and marriage, not just your simple we dated when we where teenagers. i thought it was so great even that Thea gave him a chance again.

i also thought this one was pretty cool that he was somewhat of a celebrity. i feel like added a lot to the story. like if Gavin wasn’t a popular baseball player, we wouldn’t get all the pressure from the famous husband group, even though they didn’t like Thea. and of course we wouldn’t get the book club, which is a central point.

Thea- i honestly found her kind of a hard ass, but in a good way. she was pretty mean to everyone besides Liv and her kids. but, i think how she acted was so true to her getting a divorce. and i like how she gave him chance after chance and she really wanted to get with Gavin again.

Gavin- i really thought he was a great character. he really tried his best to be with Thea and always wanted to be with her and save his relationship with the kids. i thought he was so great.

anyway, that’s it for today. i loved this book so much. this was such a great book and had a lot of sex, which i didn’t know to much about since nobody talked about it.

josh and hazel’s guide to not dating review

hello everyone! today i am going to be talking about Josh and Hazel’s guide to not dating by Christina Lauren. i gave this book 5/5 stars. i honestly loved this book so much. this was honestly such a cute slow burn love story.

one of my favorite parts of this book is Hazel and her personality. to me, she wasn’t like every other main character in a romance novel where they are heavily focused on their job. she was honestly a wildcard, and really was quirky and funny and cared about her pets more then honestly anything in the world. i just thought it was so cool that we got to see things this way and not make her focused on her job like anyone else in adult romance.

but, i thought that the whole romance between Josh and Hazel. i thought it was so amazing, even though it was pretty much just a friendship and just plan out sex. but, like everything else, it came to be a romance, so i thought it was cool to see everything going on.

i also liked that they went on a bunch of the fake dating. i just thought it was so amazing and i really liked how we got to see them with different people and then got them together. i thought it was really funny, since most of them were a hot mess.

it was pretty cool that it was a best friends brother. i thought it was pretty crazy that Hazel never knew that Emily’s brother is Josh, i thought that was pretty crazy that she never knew it. and to me, i know all my friends siblings names and like how old they are. so that was just pretty insane to me.

i loved reading Josh and Hazel together. i thought it was cool since they where friends to lovers, and they got this love story and how they got to see each other at the worst, but also the best. i thought it was pretty cool to see them together and they where just so great together ad friends, but also as a couple.

all of Christina Lauren’s book has humor in this one, but i really like that the humor in this book was so great and was probably the best one in this book to me. it all just flowed so great, and that everything really hit together greatly.

i really liked that we got to see the whole culture of Josh’s family. there was a lot of times when they talked about Josh’s heritage and how it was really brought into the book, and added something. and it was really humorist that it is something important and they still made this fill like it needed to be in the book.

Hazel- she was a pretty different character, like i already said. but, her personality really did something to story. i thought she just added humor to the story and even when things didn’t go her way, she was still positive.

Josh- he was kinda of a stuck up character, but in a good way. he really was a go with the flow guy, and honestly just did anything to make the women in his life happy. and he really cared for his family, which was such a great part in his life, and was talked a lot in the book.

the tropes in this book were spot on. i really liked the whole slow burn, which was done so well. i also loved the whole best friends brother. and this is a spoiler, but i really liked the whole pregnancy that wasn’t planed what so ever.

anyway, that’s it for today. i really liked this book so much. and thought it was probably one of my favorites books that they wrote. and it was honestly such a cute read, and it was just so perfect and did so much in this book.
