give me a kill book review

hello everyone! so, today i am going to be reviewing give me a kill by rl stine.i gave this book 2/5 stars. in advance, i’m just going to say, i’m sorry if this doesn’t make to much sense, i have a massive migraine for the past five days.

one of the first things i realized about gretchen was very negative about herself. she would make comments about how she’s not as pretty as the other girls.

i normally give characters a little bit of time to see if i like them, but i found sid really weird. he kept kissing gretchen and was always where she was. i just found it weird.

so, next, the killer was very easy to figure out. i’m going to say ‘they’ so i don’t spoli who it actually was. so, i found it very obvious they gave off the factor and if you read any murder mystery, you will be able to figure it out rather quickly.

going back to gretchen, she was very child like, when she is her junior in high school. all she did was snap at her mother then act like an angel for her friend and everyone in cheer.

anyway, i hope you enjoy this. this wasn’t one of his best book, but it was still okay. even though the main character was a pain in the ass.

aladdin: far from agrabah review

hello everyone! today i am going to be reviewing aladdin: far from agrabah by aisha saeed. i gave this book 2/5 stars. i was really hoping i’d like this one, but i thought it was very bad.

one of my first issues was it has no connection to the movie. i know that it is a re imagining, but most of them have the same plot. this started right as a whole new world, so we got no early story. plus, i found jasmine quite annoying and nothing like the live action.

second, the whole book was in ababwa. aka, the place where aladdin was the said king of. it was so annoying and boring. all they did was eat and talk about how lovely this area was. aladdin or prince ali was trying to impress jasmine over a stupid little country, and it was so boring.

plus, jasmine had to be so stupid to think ababwa was a place, if it wasn’t on any of her maps. that was one of my biggest things, because she just said ‘lets go to ababwa.’ which i found so dumb.

i might have already mentioned this, but it was so dragy. everything took 50 pages to just get them on the magic carpet and into ababwa. i couldn’t honestly want for it to end.

anyway, i hope you enjoy. i really didn’t like this book whatsoever, and will probaly make it on my worst books of the year.

girls with sharp sticks review

hello everyone! today i’m going to be reviewing girls with sharp sticks by suzanne young. i gave this book 5/5 stars. but, i read this book way back october 20th. but, thankfully i wrote down some notes.

i really like jackson and mena together. they are such a great couple, and i really loved those two together. they acted so well together, and just got along so good. plus jackson went and saved her and talked to her to the fence. which i thought was so cute.

i didn’t like that the girls where taught to be ‘something to go on your husbands arm’ and ‘he will teach you about sex and kissing’.’ it was annoying and i felt like it was so old fashion. but, i still feel like it gave more element to the crappy school.

the teachers where handsy with the girls. i feel like this is kinda self explanatory, but the teachers where always touching their thighs or their hands. and it just make me feel so odd.

this book really shows the morals of friendship. all the girls cared about each other, and they make sure everyone was doing fine. which i really liked. plus all the girls told each other everything and then tried to help each other out of the hell hole.

Leandra really helped the girls, even in the beginning, she was really mean. she really came to the girls help, which i really liked. she was badass and helped the girls out.

the plot twists, the one at the end was crazy. i was so shocked, that made me so confused, even though i was so excited that they came out of it. plus, i feel like it was so cool, and i can’t wait to see how it fans out in book 2.

anyway, i hope you enjoy this. i really loved this book, and i am so excited for the sequel, which i think will be so good. plus, i love the characters so much.

eliza and her monsters review

hello everyone! so, today i’m going to be reviewing eliza and her monster by francesca zappia. i gave this book 4.5/5 stars once i finished it. and i’ll explain more why i didn’t like it, and what i liked.

the first thing that i realized was it was very back and forth. all that wallace and eliza did was ‘talk.’ and it happened so much, and it was just so annoying. i couldn’t really handle it, because it happened so damn much.

i didn’t see a lot of mental health rep, like everyone says. everything that everything talks about is the anxiety. i don’t see the anxiety, more just the ocd that nobody talks about that much. it’s probably just me, but i didn’t personal see it.

another thing that i noticed was, wallace and eliza are friends, not lovers, but they are acting like they are meeting each others family. i mean, everyone meets their friends family, but its kinda weird.

one of the things i greatly like was, it had a great message about how you can get so obsessed with something that you can completely forget about your personal life. i feel like a lot of people can relate to this, if it’s an actually job, or just something as simple as instagram.

another thing i really liked was wallace and eliza’s relationship. i feel like it is a good high school romance/ friendship. and it is actually quite true, not a whole, love at first sight.

this is a spoilers, but i feel like her parents had no right to say about her online book. they didn’t ever talk about it with Eliza, but here they come and put it in the yearbook. plus, it’s something that is so big, and she got multiple publication offers, so it has to be somewhat of a big deal.

and i hope you enjoy this. i really liked this book, and really liked rereading it. i will definitely be reading her newest book.

november tbr

hello everyone! today i’m going to be doing my november tbr. i have a little bit of time off in november for thanksgiving, so this might be quite ambitious, but i’ll still try to read some of these.

the beautiful by renee ahdieh. so, i’m reading this book for the bookish.love.book.club. i’m so excited for this book, because it has vampires, and i’m so into vampires at the moment.

new moon by stephenie meyer. so, i’ve already read most of this book, which i have been loving so far. so, i’m hoping to finish this one fairly quickly.

eclipse by stephenie meyer. i’m hoping to read this book. but, it completely depends on how much i read of new moon.

breaking dawn by stephenie meyer. this one is quite big, so i probably won’t read most of this book, but, i’m fine if i don’t read it, it’s just a bonus.

american royals by katharine mcgee. i’m so excited for this book, and i’m so interested in reading this. plus, i feel like reading about american royals, hopefully be really interesting.

the hate u give by angie thomas. this book has been on my tbr forever, but my library lone is finally coming in. plus there is a squeal and the movie, which i’m so excited for.

dasiy jones and the sixth by taylor jenkins reed. this book has gotten so much hype and love, i’m so excited to read this. plus, yet again, my library lone is coming in, finally.

red, white, and royal blue by casey mcquiston. like the other three, the hype has making me want to read it more and more. yet again, my library hold is going to come in this month.

ten things we did and probaby shouldn’t have by sarah mlynowski. this is also a reread, and i hope i still like this one, since the first time i loved it. but, this book has animal harm, and other triggers i would check out on goodreads.

i hope you enjoyed this. i really hope i read most of these, and like them very much, because the hype is so massive.

october wrap up

hello everyone so, today i’m going to be talking about all the books i’ve read in october. i’ve read 6 books in october, which is pretty good. but, i did lower my goodreads goal, because there is no way that i can get to 100 books.

stealing parker by miranda kenneally. i gave this book 4/5 stars. i really liked this books, i thought it was pretty good and a good contemporary read. but, the age gap was a little much. i have a blog post on this book, you can find it if you want.

all we could have been by te carter. i gave this book 2/5 stars. i didn’t like it what so ever, and found the book really boring. it had no talk about the crime, it was all about her school life.

life and death by stephanie meyer. i gave this book 5/5 stars. i really liked the whole story, and that the whole gender swapped. i loved how everything happened, and it was such a good twist. where beau turned in a different way then bella.

eliza and her monster by francessa zappia. i gave this book 4.5/5 stars. i really liked the story, but i found some things boring. but for the most part, i really liked the characters and their stories.

girls with sharp sticks by suzanne young. i gave this book 5/5 stars. i actually really liked this book, which i found really surprising, because i thought i would hate this one, but i actually loved it. i loved the characters and how their friendship and everything formed.

aladdin by aisha saeed. i gave this book 2/5 stars. i really wanted to love the book, since i love the movie so much, but in the end, i founded it really boring, and i couldn’t get into it.

give me a kill by rl stine. i gave this book 3/5 stars. this is actually a reread, but i hated the writing and the character, who i found really bratty.

anyway, that’s it for today’s post. october honestly flew by, i can’t believe i already wrote this blog post. anyway, happy halloween.

october book haul

hello everyone! so, today i’m going to be doing my october book haul. so, i actually forgot all the books i’ve hauled this month, so i’m just going to be talking about the books i’ve remembers. which, is only five so, this will be quite short.

frankly in love by david yoon. i received this book from ya botm, before i got kicked out from being an affiliate. anyway, this is the first book by david yoon, and i’m so excited to read this, when ever this will be.

blue moon by alyson noel. this is book two in the immortals, a series that i love deeply, so i had to snatch up the second book up in the series. basically, these books, which i’m going to say this lightly, a twilight style novel. but, it is still really good, and i’d give this series a go.

fallen by lauren kate. i recently got into non human characters, cough cough vampires, and i’m pretty sure that this has a non human character, i believe a fallen angel or vampire.

crier’s war by nina varela. i’m so excited to read this, and was so stoked when i realized when it was in this months owlcrate. it is about enemies to lovers, female female romance, in a fantasy setting.

i hope you get this message by farah naz rishi. this is a contemporary book about aliens killing everyone off of earth. basically this book is right up my ally. i’m so excited for this one, and the mystery and only a couple of days till everything is over is so cool.

anyway, this is it for this post. i hope you enjoy, and i’m so excited to get to all of these books.

thriller recs freak week day 5

hello everyone! and happy freak week day 5. so, today i’m going to give you some of my thriller recs. i actually read a lot of thrillers, some of them i like more than others, so, here’s a list of the best thrillers. just before i start, check trigger warnings for all these books.

stalking jack the ripper by kerri maniscalo. i think these are very bloody and creepy, and books that are perfect for halloween. there is a lot of blood, so if you don’t like it, i would skip it.

sadie by courtney summers. this book is so cool and shows the glory of family and what you would do to protect them. i would listen to this via audiobook, because it is written like a podcast, which i think is so cool.

girls with sharp sticks by suzanne young. this book is supper creepy, and i think this one is perfect for halloween. it has a very creepy boarding school, and many many secrets.

how she died, how i live by mary crockett. this one has ptsd rep, and also talks about rape heavily. i would avoid this one, if you where to not read any of these. but, it is still really good, but it definitely full of triggers.

we were liars by e lockheart. i really love this one, and find it so creepy, plus it’s wrote in this weird way, where everything is somewhat like a dream. i highly suggest this one.

one of us is lying by karen m mcmanus. i love this one so much, and it is wrote like one of those police shows. i love the characters, and how they are all completely different, but come together. i also love the romance. but, it does talk about death and killing yourself.

two of us is lying by karen m mcmanus. this one was also really good. it was slightly different then her first book, and i would read her first book if anything.

i hope you enjoy this. like i already said, these are really good, but, i’d still check all the trigger warnings since like all thrillers, they have many things that can trigger you. so, i’ll see you all tomorrow for freak week day 6. (which has two posts that day.)

halloween song tag freak week day 3

hello everyone! so today is freak week day 3, which is really excited. so, today we are going to be doing halloween song tag. which i found on youtube.

1. Thriller: A book that was an absolute page turner

i found girls with sharp sticks by suzanne young. this book was so spooky and i just couldn’t wait to see what happen to the girls and Jackson. (i think that’s his name i’m not sure.)

2. someone is watching me: A book that gave you the serious creeps

i would have to go with girls with sharp sticks again, since it was so creepy with the creepy boarding school.

3. Vampire: A book you hated so much it was soul sucking i.e incredibly tedious to get through

for this one i’m going to have to say, again but better by who ever it was by. i hated this book so bad much, it was so boring and i couldn’t get into it. save your self, and please don’t read.

4.I put a spell on you: A book featuring witchcraft or magic

for this one, i probably will say sweep series because i love the magic system and and all the witchy vibes.

5. This Halloween: Your favourite treat/ snack to eat while reading

i don’t eat when i read, so, i’m going to say my favorite halloween snack, which is york pepermint patties.

6. Time warp: “Let’s do the time warp again” What book/ or books do you like to return to at this time of year?

definitely fear street series by rl stine. i think these books are so spooky and a halloween book so much.

7. Hungry like the wolf: A book you loved so much, you devoured

probably life and death by stephiane meyer. i read this book in a matter of days, i think it was so good, and threw me into the twilight world again.

8. The Adams Family: A book featuring a dysfunctional family

for this i’m going to have to go with the cullens, since they are vampires and they are all together together.

9. Scary monsters (and super creeps): A book genre that you are scared or intimidated to pick up

i never read fantasy, i’m getting more and more into it as i read more and more books.

10. the twilight zone: A book with a completely different and unique premise
for this one i’m going to go with percy jackson and the kingdom keepers. these books are so unique and not your run of the mill books.

and this is it for todays post. i found it was really fun to do this, and find books that fit songs. so, that’s it for today, and i’ll see you all tomorrow.
