september wrap up

hello everyone! so, today i’m going to be talking about the books i read in september. i actually had a bad reading month, since school was really stressful and i had a bunch of tests that i had to study for.

anyway, so i dnfed two books, which was sorcery of thorns by margaret roberson. i didn’t like the characters, and overall very boring. i just couldn’t get into this book sadly, but i might read this later, if i’m in the mood.

and the second one is the female of the species. i’m not sure who the author is, but you can look it up. but i dnfed this, since they talked about a lot animal abuse, and i didn’t like that part, and the characters confused the hell out of me.

now to the books i read this month. so, i actually only read 4 books, like i already said, school has taken a hit on my mental health and my reading life. it also doesn’t help that i picked 2 bigger books.

so, the first book i read was there will be lies by nick lake. i wrote a review for this, and you can check it out if you want to see more of my thoughts on this books. but, i gave it 3/5 stars. i found this book confusing and the dreaming part was stupid.

and the second book i read was capturing the devil by kerri maniscalo. i gave this book a 5/5 stars. i really love this book, and i think it was a great ending to this amazing series. and this book has so many feelings and it was very very good.

and the next book i read was looking for alaska by john green. i gave this book a 2/5 stars. the blog post review isn’t up yet, but it will be up soon. i thought that they talked about body part way to much and all the characters where kinda annoying.

and the final book is the perks of being a wallflower by stephan chbosky. i gave this 2/5 stars. i just found this book boring, and the review will be up soon.

so, i hope you enjoy this, it wasn’t an amazing reading month, but i did read some quality books.

september tbr

hey everyone. its really crazy to believe that it’s already september, it feels like it was only yesterday that i stayed up till midnight to watch the ball drop, and now there is only four more months left of the year. anyway, i hope to read six books, since i’m back at school and i have a lot of homework, but you know the whole deal.

anyway, the first book i want to read, and probably my most anticipated release of 2019, capturing the devil by kerri maniscalo. I’m so excited for this, i’ve been waiting since september 2018. it honestly can’t wait for this saga to come full circle, and for the wedding. but, it is very bitter sweet for it to be completed, since this is the only other book series i have loved since twilight.

the next book i was supposed to actually read in august, but one thing lead to another, and i didn’t actually read it, which is we hunt the flame by hafsah faizal. i got this in owlcrate a couple months ago, and i really want to read it, since there is such great reviews about it.

the next book, i actually started in august, but ended up reading the first five chapter, and wanting to read the rest, sorcery of thrones by margaret rogerson. the chapters that i read, where really good, and i definitely want to read more in the future. i normally wouldn’t read these types of books, but ever since the cruel prince, i really love fantasy a whole lot more.

the next book, i really wanted to read since i started in the book community, is the boy in the striped pajamas by john boyne . i really wanted to read it since, even more because one of my best friends in real life, liked the book and liked it a lot.

the next book, is not out yet, and i’m actually really excited for it to come out, is serpent and dove by shelby mahurin. i’ve heard a bunch of booktubers and book bloggers talk about it, and i’m really excited for it.

the next book is also a group read, and it is my lady jane. i’m really excited, since a lot of people like it. i actually dnfed this book before, so i hope i like it.

the next, and last book i want to read is Eleanor and park by rainbow rowell. this is actually a group read for a book club.

i hope you enjoy this post. i’m really excited for september to get started and to read a bunch of good books.
