hello everyone! today i am going to be talking about all the books i’ve read in June. i was knee deep in a reading slump after i read they went left, but, i did get semi out of it with the insider, which took me like two and a half weeks to read.
hush hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. i gave this book 4.5/5 stars. this was a reread, and i honestly recommend this book for fans of twilight and crave. and i think that this was so great, but i do not understand why people say hush hush is the sexy version of twilight, since they like never touched at all in this book. but, honestly, who the hell knows.
city of bones by Cassie Clare. i gave this book 3/5 stars. this is another reread, and i honestly didn’t like it as much. i think the book wasn’t that good, but wasn’t terrible. overall, it was overall pretty boring and it didn’t make a lot of sense to me at some parts. and some of the plot twists, one that everyone will know what i’m talking about, it honestly was so disgusting and just so gross.
the summer of ’98 by Tay Marley. i gave this book 4/5 stars and this one comes out on July 21. i actually really liked this book, and i was kinda scared because it’s a wattpad book published. and i do think that the whole ending was pretty great, but i do think everything was really compacted together, and i wish they took time to explain everything.
they went left by Monica Hessa. i gave this book 3/5 stars. overall, this was a decent book, and i think that it wasn’t the best book i read this month at all. but, my biggest issue is that Zofia wouldn’t have an happy endings, which i found pretty annoying since everyone else did. and i do think the ending was really fast, like it would literally give you whiplash when the whole book is drawn out so much.
all your perfects by Collen Hoover. i gave this book 5/5 stars. honestly, i loved this book so much. this was such a cute book, even though it was so hard hitting. but, i do really like the timelines where we saw how they met and then their wedding, and then what they are doing today. there are trigger warnings for infertility and then a miscarriage.
Sadie by Courtney Summer. i gave this book 3/5 stars. this is also another reread this month. i feel like i have a lot of the same feelings of the first time, which isn’t really a bad thing honestly. i do wish the endings was closed off more, and not just that open to whatever you think will happen.
the insider by Ridley Pearson. i gave this book 4/5 stars. this is the book that took me forever to read. but, i did love this book so freaking much and it was just so amazing in my mind. and i love to see these characters again.
the bro code by Elizabeth A. Seibert. i gave this book 2/5 stars and this book comes out September 22nd. honestly, i hate this book so much and i didn’t really like that much of this book.Nick really annoyed the hell out of me. i also thought this book was very sexists and had a lot of parts that just annoyed me. i did find it weird that the love interests name was Eliza when the authors name is Elizabeth. trigger warnings- rape.
not that kind of girl by Andie J. Christopher. i gave this book 4/5 stars. honestly, i really liked this book. i didn’t know that this book was the second book in the series of ‘not the girl you marry.’ since it follows Jack’s sister. but i do think this was a cute book. but, i do wish we got more romance in here.
anyway, that’s it for today. i had a great time reading these books, even though i was in a reading slump for a good part of the month. but, i still read some good books, so i’m still pretty happy.
